Adobe is seeking a Software Development Engineer 2 to join the Adobe Lightroom Android product team in Bangalore. You will collaborate with passionate engineers and product managers to develop scalable and responsive mobile applications targeting photographers worldwide. The role involves full ownership of feature development — from requirements gathering to design, coding, testing, and optimization, with a strong focus on improving app responsiveness and stability.

You will bring strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, and C++, alongside scripting experience (Python/Perl preferred). A sound understanding of architectural patterns, excellent communication, and experience with Agile/Scrum will be vital. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable features for the Adobe Lightroom app on Android
  • Work across the development lifecycle including unit and automation testing
  • Optimize app performance to reduce crashes and improve user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature planning and delivery
  • Use agile methodologies like Scrum, Lean, and Agile to deliver software

Key Technical Skills:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on software development experience
